Eating With Invisalign Clear Aligners

Good news! Since Invisalign clear aligners are removable, you can still enjoy your favorite foods! Simply take out your aligners before you eat, and brush and floss before reinserting your aligners. Make sure to always take out your aligners when you eat or drink anything besides water to avoid staining and keep your aligners safe.

Dental Hygiene With Invisalign Clear Aligners

Invisalign clear aligners make brushing simple. Remove your aligners before brushing and flossing, and put them back on when finished. This is also an excellent time to clean your aligners.

Cleaning Invisalign Clear Aligners

To clean your aligners, gently use a toothbrush and toothpaste or hand soap while running the tray under warm water. Avoid using hot water, as it will warp your aligners. Dry your aligners before reinserting.

Wearing Invisalign Clear Aligners

In order to get the full benefits of Invisalign treatment, you will need to be wearing the aligners 22 hours a day. Your aligners should only be out of your mouth for 30 minutes maximum for each meal. Basically, if you are not brushing your teeth, eating or drinking, make sure you are wearing your aligners.

Broken or Missing Invisalign Clear Aligners

If you lose your aligners, or if they become severely cracked or split, contact us right away. Use your next set of aligners if you have access to them and they fit comfortably. Otherwise, use your previous set of aligners until replacements can be obtained.
